GM chief reportedly to resign

I just got this news alert from the L.A. Times:

People familiar with the matter say General Motors' Chief Executive Frederick "Fritz" Henderson will resign, according to the Associated Press. The company's chairman of the board, Ed Whitacre Jr., will serve as interim replacement.
