Obama plans regular press conferences

Prez O is best when he communicates his own ideas, because he does it better than anyone else by a longshot. Looks like he's up for a lot more of that:

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday that President Obama enjoyed his first prime time news conference Monday evening — and plans to stick with a campaign promise to hold them regularly in the future. [...]

Gibbs also confirmed that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi visited Obama at the White House Tuesday morning and formally invited Obama to speak before a joint session of Congress February 24, and the President accepted that invitation.

This is a very good thing. Keep the lines open, say what you mean, be inclusive. Very impressive.
