Calm

Rachel Maddow discussing her interview with Barack Obama with Chris Matthews, with a smile:

"If he were any more calm, he's be asleep. It was striking!"

She also said Obama was running ahead of schedule, actually early, in a good mood, and said he is sending the message that he's "nobody's enemy", including the Republicans. He's "not taking a shot at anybody", but defining himself as the president of the United States. He's playing down the center, she went on, reassuring a lot of Republicans that he's not a crazy lib'rul.

Rachel also said that he may not win Florida, based on reactions from voters. Many signaled that the voting lines were prohibitive. She admitted she was in Sarasota, deep red country, but being the pessimist that she is, she didn't sound hopeful about the rest of the state going Obama's way.
