Apologies up front for the amount of space this will take up, but it's so worth it...
Volunteerless in New Mexico.. and Iowa.. and Ohio... and Virginia... and:
One dialer, Santa Fe:As the only reporter during this election who has actually visited upwards of 50 of John McCain's field offices around the country (13 battleground states and counting), this piece by Matthew Mosk at the Washington Post comes as no surprise:
The decision to finance a final advertising push is forcing McCain to curtail spending on Election Day ground forces to help usher his supporters to the polls, according to Republican consultants familiar with McCain's strategy. [...]John McCain's ground campaign is just not happening. It hasn't been happening, without Sarah Palin there might be four or five volunteers across the entire nation left, and now, per Mosk's piece at WaPo, it looks like it will be happening even less.
[O]ne top Republican strategist who has been privy to McCain's plans: "The folks who will oversee the volunteer operation have been told to get out into the field on their own nickel." [...]

Ouch.
I'm sure the liberal media that is out to get McPalin just took the pictures at a bad time -- late in the afternoon when all the volunteers were out for their early-bird specials.
Or looking for employment. That pays.
Maybe they were all out door knocking?
Or at home crying?
Al Gore is campaigning for Obama in Florida.

Way at the bottom of the post.
We can only HOPE that all those empty sites are for real and that his creeps aren't just working from other locations.
My local Democratic Action Center (Torrance) has sign up sheets going for Monday and Tuesday...HOLY MOLEY...there must be 300 people signed up to work! Tuesday, they are opening at freak'n 5AM!
...hoping...hoping...hoping.
Having offices is easy. Getting them manned and generating results is something quite different. McCain's got storefronts and Obama's got organizations. D.
Go to an Obama office, anywhere, anytime, and you'll see people working and making this thing happen. It's great to be playing a small part in this once in a lifetime campaign.
this is crazy! whenever anyone questions whether obama can do it i said the ground game will win it for home...if you don't believe it go visit an obama office!
the other night me and my daughter showed up to phone bank and they were out of available phones. they sent us to another location where several people were busy calling and tallying up canvass results and entering the data on laptops.
Loved the" Yawning" dude in the last foto!
