Suh-napage: IWRC* Palin, go to the back of the bus! edition

By GottaLaff

IWRC* Palin is an endless source of suh-napage:

The No Talk Express

An interesting tidbit from Robert Draper on Gov. Sarah Palin: "I've heard from one well-placed source that McCain has snubbed her on one long bus ride aboard the Straight Talk Express, to the embarrassment of those sitting nearby."

VIDEO: Fake Talk Express BUS DRIVER talks Blackberry

By GottaLaff

MoveOn.Org just sent me this:

Today's news took even McCain's biggest admirers by surprise. In fact, we just "found" an amazing video from Billy Mires, the "real" bus driver of the Straight Talk Express reacting to McCain's impressive technological feat.

[S]pread the word by becoming his "fan" on Facebook...

We have it on good authority that Billy's going to keep posting videos pretty frequently. His fans will be the first to get them.
Thanks for all you do. And enjoy.

–Peter, Adam G., Marika, Nita, and the rest of the team

P.S. If you have a BlackBerry, you may want to change your signature file to: "Sent from my BlackBerry Wireless Handheld, a miracle made possible by John McCain."

P.P.S. The direct link to Billy's YouTube page is here:

"Bursting with metaphors": The Fake Talk Express has an accident

By GottaLaff

Crash and burn:
In September 1979, President Jimmy Carter collapsed in a road race. The images of the world's most powerful man faltering contributed to a growing public perception that he was a weak president. Just two months later, Sen. Ted Kennedy announced he would challenge the incumbent in the Democratic primaries.

Yesterday, Sen. John McCain's bus -- the "Straight Talk Express" -- was involved in a bad crash with a blue van, according to the Miami Herald. It's not exactly the images you want broadcast on the evening news.

Update
: As DailyKos notes, the story is "bursting with metaphors."
There go the insurance premiums.

Sorry, forgot to add this part, snicker. Looks like J Sid's fellow triplet was a passenger:
The bus driver, along with Sen. Joe Leiberman and an aide, were traveling south on Biscayne when they collided with a blue van, according to Miami police.

Who Put The Obama Sticker On The Straight Talk Express?

Too funny. The pictures are really bad, but you can see them here.

On Tuesday night, TNA writer Lonnie Affrime spotted the Straight Talk Express in the parking lot of an Embassy Suites in Boca Raton, FL. He noticed an unusual decal on the back of Sen. John McCain’s whip and, as any good American would do, took a few pictures.

It is unknown as of now who placed the bumper sticker on the Straight Talk Express. We must not rule out the possibility that McCain slapped the decal on, himself, rather than pollute his famed bus’s maverick image with one of his own utterly uninspiring bumper stickers. The only other option is that there are Obama supporters in Boca — and that just sounds ridiculous.

Pool Report of McCain’s Chat With Reporters on the Fake Talk Express

By GottaLaff

This is a checklist from Mark Halperin's pool report from the Fake Talk Express. You can get more details by following the link. Check out the last entry, the one he doesn't expand upon (no pun).
-Social Security (he’s still open to everything)
-Increasing troops in Afghanistan
-Whether he’s frustrated by giving virtually the same speech each day
(he’s not)
-Gates decision on the tanker deal (supports)
-Medicare vote (would have voted against cloture today)
-Whether he’d favor a Second Stimulus package (he’s for anything that
can be proven to help our economy)
-Iran (they’ve ratcheted up the threat)
-Romney (they’ve buried the hatchet and now enjoy each other’s company)
-Urban policy
-The woman vote
-Viagra v. Birth Control
I'm restraining myself. No, I am. But you don't have to, wink.
