S&Mer Jetton Tried to Ban Gay "Deviate Sexual Intercourse"

By GottaLaff

The hypocrisy is jaw-dropping, but not surprising. Yesterday I posted about Former Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton (R), who "was charged with felony assault that allegedly happened during an S&M session gone wrong".

Look out kiddies, Rod (amusing name, considering the circumstances) has it out for "deviant" Teh Gay Love!

Safe word alert level: Red (green apparently didn't work).

Here's the latest:
Rod Jetton (R), the Missouri power broker who is accused of assault in a S&M encounter gone bad, apparently fought to ban "deviate sexual intercourse" in his state -- at least when it involved same sex couples, TPM reports.

Now, the Kansas City Star reports Jetton "will be leaving politics to deal with false allegations and spend time with his family," according to a statement issued by his lawyer.
I wonder if his family wants to spend time with him.

Those wascal Wushpublics, they're America's best constant source of Family Values debauchery!

Former Republican MO House Speaker charged with felony assault, allegedly during S&M session

By GottaLaff

Ooo lala, another Rushpublic Sexcapade. Are you listening, Cliff Schecter?
Former Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton (R) "was charged with felony assault that allegedly happened during an S&M session gone wrong," reports the Riverfront Times.
I can only imagine what would have happened if it had gone right. No, on second thought...
Reports say Jetton told the woman to use the safe words "green balloons" to make him stop but she was apparently drugged, fading in-and-out of consciousness and unresponsive.
Maybe if she'd chosen a better safe word? Like, oh I dunno, "Stop!!!!"

KFVS-TV:

Jetton is accused of abusing the woman at her home in mid-November, a claim that Wilson first disputed Monday evening. A statement from Wilson reads: "Mr. Jetton was shocked and surprised when first advised of the allegation made against him. Now that a complaint is filed in court, Mr. Jetton's only comments are that he is not guilty, and will vigorously defend this allegation in court and not in the media."

Jetton is named in a complaint filed Monday in Scott County Circuit Court. In the complaint, prosecuting attorney Paul Boyd accuses Jetton of hitting the woman in the head and "choking her, resulting in unconsciousness and the loss of function of a part of her body." [...]

According to the affidavit, the woman remembers Jetton hitting her on the face very hard, then waking up and lying on the floor with Jetton choking her. She then recalled waking up and having sex with Jetton in the bedroom, then waking up the next morning with Jetton in her bed.

Rushpublic gone wrong. Very wrong. Welcome to the "Family Values" party.

Ew Factor: Through the roof.

RedState's Big Silly Putty campaign against Kent Williams

By GottaLaff

Compare the sentiments that continue to fester at RedState to those of today's events that have been posted down thread. Which do you think America is more apt to embrace:

joe:

We've had several missions for the RedState Army of Activists. You probably haven't noticed as we've primarily directed them to individual states.

This should be one for an individual state, but we need to take this nationwide and make it a national rebuke.

Meet Kent Williams. He is allegedly a Republican in Tennessee. The GOP took the State House in Tennessee and rallied to one of their own to be Speaker.

Williams had other plans. He made a deal with the Democrats, betrayed the Republicans, and got himself elected Speaker. He then put a Democrat in the number two spot.

On opening day of the legislature the outgoing Democrat Speaker of the House stood behind Williams whispering directions in his ears.

It's clear he's a weak mind and will be putty in the hands of the Democrats.

Here's the assignment:

Kent Williams' address is 126 S. Main Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.

Go here and send Kent Williams some silly putty. Let's put in his hands a pretty accurate representation of what he is.

I'm pretty sure RedStaters already have enough Silly Putty on hand, since kneading flesh-toned goop is most likely one of their more common and challenging pasttimes... that and Sit 'n' Spin for their more advanced members.

What an effective ploy, sending along eggs and eggs-worth of putty, especially the silly kind (how apt) to the Tennessee Speaker, a "bad" Republican (original post here). Apparently, he's not a silly enough Republican.

How could this brilliant idea fail? It's inspired! I'm sure minds will be changed, Williams will see the light, and once again, all will be well in RedStateLand.

This is typical of how Bush followers problem solve.

Maybe we should deluge them with Crazy Glue. It might help seal their mouths, since they've already sealed their fates. And hey, they can relate easily to the product name.

GOP Defeat in Tennessee; State House in "Absolute Chaos"

By GottaLaff

http://www.adamdorman.com/_images/absolut_chaos.jpg
Schadenfreude, courtesy of DKos:

The Republicans -- who had just finally won control of the State House for the first time in 40+ years – were suppose to elect their Speaker of the House today. And failed!

Anaxamander has the details [...] The Tennessee State House has 50 Republicans and 49 Democrats. Well, Rep. Kent Williams (R-TN) got the support of all 49 Democrats plus his own vote to put himself in the Speaker’s chair. [...]

In the last election, a bunch of belligerent right-wing radicals tried to bully Rep. Williams (a moderate) into taking far-right stands -- going so far as to threaten boycotts on his family business, etc.

Well, Rep. Williams had had enough of bullies and blowhards destroying the Republican Party from within. And the Democrats knew it. So the Democrats approached Rep. Williams about being the new House Speaker.

Rep. Williams said, "yes," and history was made [...]

House Speaker Williams promises to select committee chairs based on ability and seniority -- mostly ability. He promises that at least half will be Republicans. But many will be Democrats. That's something no one saw that as a remote possibility just a few hours ago -- except maybe the engineers of this shocking political twist.

A lobbyist at Legislative Plaza is calling it "absolute chaos" up there right now.

The GOP was promising all sorts of abortion votes, 2nd amendment votes, anti-immigrant votes, anti-gay votes, etc. - your basic nightmare right-wing nutjobs run amuck scenario. Not so fast!!
Psyche!
