Men's Lib! Brothel to hire 1st male prostitutes

By GottaLaff

Next thing you know, men will be demanding abortion rights:
The owner of a brothel more than two hours' drive from Las Vegas said she hopes to hire Nevada's first legal male prostitutes within a month, now that state health officials have approved a method to test men for infectious diseases.

The world is ready for women, or even other men, to legally buy sex, said Shady Lady Ranch owner Bobbi Davis. Plus, being the first to offer male service could boost business in tough economic times, she said.

Well it's about time. And hey, if it's good for the economy, who are we to argue?

She said the women usually charge about $300 per hour for the five to 20 customers who visit on any given night.

"We don't know how to structure the men's pricing yet," Davis said.

By the inch?

It's self-explanatory, but there are more details and another chart here.

This should be their logo. I'm sure most of them resemble Homer in some way:

VIDEO-- Wall Street Madam: CEOs, Bankers Used Corporate Credit Cards for Sex

By GottLaff

Hey oversighters, who was overseeing this?

Wall street lawyers, investment bankers, CEOs and media executives often used corporate credit cards to pay for $2,000 an hour prostitutes, according to the madam who ran one of New York's biggest and most expensive escort services until it was busted last year.

But prosecutors in the Manhattan District Attorney's office chose not to pursue any of the corporate titans, says Kristin Davis, who pleaded guilty last year to charges of running a prostitution business that used more than a hundred women.
Can we take the word of a madam?

Davis provided ABC News with a print-out of her computerized client list, the same one she says that was offered to the district attorney.

The document shows Davis kept meticulous notes about her clients, their credit card numbers and mobile phone numbers.

And here we have a veritable orgy of names (pun intended):
Among the names the network says it confirmed:
* a vice president of NBC Universal (owned by General Electric)
* the part owner of a Major League Baseball team who "loves Kelsey"
* the CEO of one of the country's largest private equity firms who met "Cameron" at the Peninsula Hotel
* a major New York real estate developer who, according to the list, "will come to the door wearing women's panties"
* a partner at the Wall Street law firm Cravath Swaine Moore "looking for a party girl to come fully equipped" and spent a total of $20,000
* an investment banker from Lehman Brothers who saw "Kelsey and Keely together" and later saw "Aria and Skyler at the same time"
* an investment banker at JP Morgan Securities who "loves Brooke" and spent $41,600
* an investment banker at Goldman Sachs who "only wanted all-American girls" and spent $27,000
* a managing director from Merrill Lynch who saw "Lana" using the name "Nataly"
* a managing director from Deutsche Bank "who called about seeing Nataly again"
Kelsey seems to be on the A-List, as does that apparent CEO sentimental favorite, the ever-popular menage a trois:

Hillary Passes Senate Foreign Relations 16-1

I think Vitter is hoping that if he acts like a dick all the time he'll distract from his erm, actual dick issues.

On a 16-1 vote, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved Hillary Clinton's nomination as Secretary of State, moving her confirmation to the full Senate.

The lone vote against her? Louisiana GOP Sen. David Vitter.

Those frisky, repressed Republicans: Groups predict prostitution spike at RNC

By GottaLaff

I thought it was the Republicans who prostituted themselves. Silly moi:
Advocacy groups that fight prostitution in the Twin Cities are gearing up for what they believe will be a surge in activity during the Republican National Convention—even though police say they aren't expecting it to be a problem.
Republicans have sex? Talk about the elephant in the room!
Vednita Carter, executive director of Breaking Free, a St. Paul organization that helps women escape from prostitution, told the Star Tribune that talk among prostitutes is that there will be a lot of money to be made.
Considering the righties aren't big believers in birth control, they better be extra special ultra careful! And what will their wives say? Tsk, tsk. So much secrecy, so little time.

Still, even some familiar with the sex trade are skeptical that the political conventions translate to a jump in business.

"In 2004 there were all sorts of media reports that sex workers were coming from all over the country to New York City because there were going to be so many potential customers during the Republican National Convention," said Juhu Thukral, director of the Sex Workers Project at New York's Urban Justice Center. "The reality was that a lot of (prostitutes) we heard from said they were leaving because there was going to be such a strong police presence, and so many people coming to town."

Party poopers.

High Gas Prices Apparently Affecting Legal Brothels' Business

Guess this is how you can tell things are really bad.

Gas prices are apparently affecting Nevada's unique industry: legal brothels. The Nevada Brothel Owners Association says most brothels have seen at least a 25-percent drop in business this year.

One bordello is even reporting a 50-percent decline.

The association says the rising cost of diesel especially has cut into the "disposable income" that truckers might otherwise spend on adult entertainment.

"Old George or Jimmy out there, he's got to take care of Momma and the groceries first, and he's got to take care of fuel costs, and he's got other expenses, and he may not have much leftover for having a good time at the moment," said George Flint, Consultant and Association Director, Nevada Brothel Owners Association.
