President Obama- The App

If only their media communications were as good as their online stuff... Via Taegan-
The White House announced a new app for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch which allows you to "watch the President's public events at the White House, frequent web chats with Administration officials, and other events like key speeches and press briefings in real time.
"The White House App also lets users stay up to date with the White House Blog and the latest from the Briefing Room. Browse behind-the-scenes photos and watch on-demand videos. The app provides instant access to full videos from recent speeches, press briefings, and special events."

For The GOPer On Your Christmas List- A Reagan App For iPhone

Yeah, I'm sure this is really going to appeal to a new generation. I mean, all the guys I know will go with this as opposed to a Shakira app. I love the fact it's called iReagan.
You've loaded up your iPhone with Yelp for restaurants and Shazam for music. Now get ready to download a dose of "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" from a popular political figure of the past: the Gipper.
The Ronald Reagan iPhone app, introduced this week, promises to "deliver Ronald Reagan right to your fingertips," offering the speeches, sayings and photos of the "Great Communicator" to a potentially wider and younger audience, thanks to the popular mobile technology.
(snip)
"What's smart about it - and why you'll see it happen more and more - is that people are just living on their mobile devices," says Wade Randlett, a Silicon Valley Democratic activist and major fundraiser for President Obama. "They're giving up on laptops because the mobile device does everything you need."

Video- Fox & Friends promotes "tremendous" iPhone "conservative talking points" app that "fight[s] back against liberal lies"
They must be getting some sort of royalties from this thing because I've caught them pimping it quite a few times in the past couple of weeks. Oh, and it's lame as hell.

Conservative talking points on your iPhone? There's an app for that
By GottaLaff

Your friend has probably purchased the Conservative Talking Points iPhone app, approved by Apple for sale and now available for $1.99 at the app store.Yes, your opponent has to pay someone to pull a Cyrano in order to get the upper hand in a political joust.
My question is, they have extra cash lying around for that?
It provides users with 250 talking points on everything from "America - The Greatest Nation Ever" to "Out of Control Spending" to ACORN to "Private Industries Taken Over (See Fascism in America)."We Dems don't need no stinkin' apps. Besides, we have to save every penny to pay off our insurance premiums.
"Be armed with the Conservative Talking Points (CTP) iPhone App as your powerful arsenal to debate those emotional and ill-prepared liberals," it advertises in the pre-purchase info provided at the app store. It should make a nice pairing with the Glenn Beck Station Locator app, for anyone who needs to find Glenn Beck on the radio with haste.

BFCE: Can you hear Obama now?
By GottaLaff

H/t: PadlockWith only 33 days left, it's more important than ever to call your friends and family to make sure they are registered and voting for Barack. We are excited to announce another way to help you organize your personal contacts and ask them to "get out and vote."
Today, we are launching an official iPhone Application, a free download for iPhone and iPod Touch users. This tool is designed to help you become more directly involved in our campaign to change our country.
The application has a "Call Your Friends" tool that helps you organize your contacts by key battleground states -- a feature we're hoping will generate thousands of additional personal contacts. You can also easily mark reminder notes to yourself on which friends you have called, who they are supporting and who wants a reminder call on Election Day. The information does not leave your phone (so your friends' and your own privacy are protected) but the total amount of calls the application makes are tallied, so you can keep track of your progress as we close in on November 4th.
The Obama 08 application also includes a tool to make it easy to find your local campaign office. Using your phone's current location, you can easily find a field office anywhere in the country (and even find directions to it using the mapping function).
Other features of the application include up to date news from the campaign, video, photos, and all of the issue information needed to use as talking points with your friends when convincing them to register and vote!
Please tell your iPhone users (and iPod Touch users) to download this app today. You can download the application here.
And all mobile users you can get news, updates, videos and more on your phone by texting SITE to 62262 to view our mobile WAP page.

iBarack? oBamaPhone?
By GottaLaff
I'm almost sure I overheard John Sidney Mc19thCentury say he was doing the same thing with a sticker, a quill, an inkwell, and a telegraph:
Oh J Sid? Czechoslovakia called. They want their century back.Another evolution in technology: a fan of the Obama campaign has created an iPhone Web app -- a countdown for change clock.
And why not? Probably a half hour or less of coding. Even if toys like these don't pick up any votes, they contribute to the idea that the Obama campaign has immersed itself in the modern consumer experience.
