Captionary: How Schumer Won Over Nelson edition

By GottaLaff

(via)

Chuck could have simply blackmailed him with this photo:
Politico tells the story of how Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) went hunting with Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) in the latter's home state and how, six weeks later, Schumer secured Nelson's crucial vote on health care reform.
Let's hearken back to the days of Dickless McHeartStent during his BushCo hunting stents, er, stints:

Photo of the Day, with bonus Karl Rove TWITter!

By GottaLaff

We find out that Subpoena-Me Karl is relaxing with a few of his Fox Friends by killing living things (no offense to hunters, but it's just not my thing). Via Think Progress:

@tomatcc: “ALL CLEAR!” Dick’s in Wyoming. 8:45 AM yesterday

@KarlRove: You’re correct—unfortunately Cheney’s not here. But, I look forward to my next hunt with him. #TCOT #SGP 9:54 AM yesterday

Fox News’s Chris Wallace and the Weekly Standard’s Fred Barnes accompanied Rove, who also posted a “Twitpic” of Barnes with shotgun in one hand and dead bird in the other. Rove said Barnes hit “two out of a covey.”

"Twitpic". Perfect.

By GottaLaff

Via Think Progress:

This is a short excerpt from tonight's David Letterman Show. Tina Fey discusses IWRC* Palin, who will most likely watch this with the volume turned down.

Humane Society endorses Obama, doesn't like Palin

By GottaLaff

She doesn't care about the dwindling number of polar bears (due to that pesky, non-existent global warming), she advocates shooting wolves from airplanes, she has an affinity for moose meat... So what's not to like?

Humane Society breaks tradition, endorses

The animal lovers' group goes with Obama, and seem to have been particularly turned off by Palin.

The choice for animals is especially clear now that Palin is in the mix. If Palin is put in a position to succeed McCain, it could mean rolling back decades of progress on animal issues.
