Sarah Palin mocks that ‘little Twittering thing’ in front of a sparse audience

Once again TwitWit McFacebook shares her flare for hypocrisy and all around moronitude. First, after speaking at the Tea Tantrum Convention, she comes out against a formal third Party-O'-Tea. Then she mocks Twitter, something she has used to impart her pearls of wisdom regularly:

When she was asked what she believed was the number one threat to America today, several audience members shouted, "Obama!"

Arkansas Republican Party Chairman Doyle Webb, who moderated the Q&A session, responded by adding, "Besides Obama."

Palin then chimed in as many in the crowd laughed.

"See, they said that, I didn’t," she said. "Just you watch now, too, because somebody will be here with their little Twittering thing, and it’s going to be on the Internet any minute now."

Isn't she the adorablest little babbling thing?

And she did all this and more in yet of another arena full of empty seats that she failed to fill:

[F]ewer than half the seats “in the lower bowl were occupied, and the entire upper level was shrouded by black drapes.” In the hours before the Palin event, “the Arkansas GOP was advertising on its web site a heavily discounted ‘$20 ticket special.’”

Bummer. Good thing there's no video of that. As I recall, there was a media blackout... again.

She also seemed to back of a 2012 run. Gee, it couldn't be because she's dug herself into multiple holes lately, could it?

Then NoSeats McCheapTix put a damper on a third party comprised of Tea Baggers:

"Now the smart thing will be for independents who are such a part of this Tea Party movement to, I guess, kind of start picking a party," Palin said. "Which party reflects how that smaller, smarter government steps to be taken? Which party will best fit you? And then because the Tea Party movement is not a party, and we have a two-party system, they’re going to have to pick a party and run one or the other: ‘R’ or ‘D’."

I betcha the Tea Tantrumers who believed in her at the Big Convention didn't like that little nugget.

When she wasn't busy building yet another shrine to Saint Ronnie of Reagan, she answered some questions. Pre-screened ones. I wonder if the color of her Sharpie hand-scribbles matched her outfit:

Palin used her 45-minute speech and the Q&A session that featured pre-selected questions from the crowd to sound off on everything from what she called the "snake-oil science" of global warming to politicians who are "addicted to ‘O-P-M’-other people's money."

My, but she's got a razor (half) wit!

She really needs to quit-- again-- while she's behind.

White House interns forced to fill seats at Bush’s last press conference to make the room seem less empty

Talk about pathetic, how's this for another parting suh-nap at the Criminal in Chief:

[A]s the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank points out, not enough reporters attended for the presser to make it “standing room only”:

Further complicating his last-minute legacy rehabilitation: Nobody seems to be paying attention. The White House had high expectations for yesterday’s final, historic news conference. “ONE CORRESPONDENT PER ORGANIZATION,” proclaimed the bulletin sent to reporters. “STANDING ROOM ONLY FOR NON-SEAT HOLDERS.” But when the appointed hour of 9:15 a.m. arrived, the last two rows in the seven-row briefing room were empty, and a press aide told White House interns to fill those seats.

Steve Benen notes for context that "the rows aren't especially big -- the briefing room isn't exactly a movie theater. If memory serves there are seven rows of seven seats. Two empty rows in the back suggests only 35 reporters showed up."

Cricket, cricket... (not unlike the sound reverberating inside Georgie's little noggin)

Volunteerless in New Mexico.. and Iowa.. and Ohio... and Virginia... and:

As the only reporter during this election who has actually visited upwards of 50 of John McCain's field offices around the country (13 battleground states and counting), this piece by Matthew Mosk at the Washington Post comes as no surprise:

The decision to finance a final advertising push is forcing McCain to curtail spending on Election Day ground forces to help usher his supporters to the polls, according to Republican consultants familiar with McCain's strategy. [...]

[O]ne top Republican strategist who has been privy to McCain's plans: "The folks who will oversee the volunteer operation have been told to get out into the field on their own nickel." [...]

John McCain's ground campaign is just not happening. It hasn't been happening, without Sarah Palin there might be four or five volunteers across the entire nation left, and now, per Mosk's piece at WaPo, it looks like it will be happening even less.
