Deep Thought

What kind of get well card to you send someone who literally ran themselves over with their own car?

Deep Thought

If Joe Scarborough didn't repeat himself over and over (often in the same sentence) the show would only be about 20 minutes long.

Why did dishonest little snotnose Carrie Prejean just get half an hour of cable television to sniffle about how horribly she had been treated?

Deep Thought

I don't remember any time since junior high that I've had so many tv shows that I look forward to watching. My Boys, Ashes to Ashes, Torchwood, Saving Grace, Gavin and Stacy, 30 Rock, and finally tonight (after way too long) Fringe!! Is it just me?

Why is General Wesley Clark on my teevee shilling for the ethanol industry?

George Bush is giving his "final press conference" right now on the teevee and he sounds like a petulant pissy prick who can't understand why people don't see how wonderful he is. Good damn riddance.

Did someone get paid to brainstorm up that what advertising really needed was more John McEnroe?

Everytime I saw this ad yesterday in the Sunday flyers, I thought it was Meatloaf.

Is Mika Brzezinski really more annoying in the evening, or am I just more awake? Discuss.

Deep Thoughts

Think they had the presses all ready for those commemorative inaugural dollars? Just heard the commercial on MSNBC.

Brand new to Facebook- "Impeach Barack Obama". Sigh. (here's a link to a very good write up about the twatwaffles, I won't link directly to them)

Finally, can we just let Bible Spice get back to birthing up the population of Alaska already? Way too much air and print time being spent on someone I'm trying to forget.

Deep Thoughts

Holy crap. In a detailed discussion of how some liberals are whiny about Obama not being liberal enough, Booman says this-

If Al Gore had taken office in 2001, and he had won re-election, we would right now be organizing to get Joe Lieberman elected because at least he isn't as bad as the Republican. Okay?

But not only that, in 2004, John Kerry begged and pleaded with John McCain to be his running mate. If McCain had accepted his offer and they had won the presidency, we'd all be working to reelect John McCain right now, not defeat him.
Could you even imagine?

McCain is on the teevee now saying, "Senator Obama is more concerned in giving away your piece of the pie than growing the pie." Question, how do you grow a pie? Is it a tree or maybe a shrub? Hopefully it's not a tuber.

Added- McCain just said "We're not going to waste your money bailing out Wall Street." Are his supporters that stupid? That's exactly what you did John.

As most of you probably know, my teevee is in the other room so I "hear" the news all day. I noticed yesterday, and it is very very confirmed today that the crowds at McCain's speeches sound angry. Not just ticked off, but really viscerally angry. Is that what McCain is aiming to tap into? Man, they sound like they want to tear someone apart.

Joe Scarborough is spending alot of time talking about how colorblind he is when it comes to race. I'm just a wee bit older than Joe and went to middle school in Central FL, and that ain't "colorblind" that I remember. It wasn't much different than South Georgia in those days.

Deep Thought Of The Day

When does Saakashvili have time to fix the situation in his country if he's on CNN every hour chatting with Suzanne Malveaux?
