Kill the Fil! Reid Has Killed Most Filibusters

No matter which graph you choose, no matter how you look at it, the GOP has set record filibuster numbers.

But wait! There's more! Harry Reid may very well set one of his own:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is on track to set the record for having the best batting average when it comes to killing filibusters.

The Rushpublics have "Kill the Bill". Well we have "Kill the Fil".

So what exactly is she interested in?

SMILEY: Finally, there's already speculation about whether or not Secretary Clinton is going to do this for the full first time, and whether or not she has any interest if asked to stay on to do it for eight years? You see how tough the job is, can you imagine yourself doing all four years and, if asked, doing it for another four years?

CLINTON: No, I really can't. I mean, it is just...

SMILEY: No to what? All four or eight?

CLINTON: The whole, the whole eight, I mean, that that would be very challenging. But I, you know, I don't wanna make any predictions sitting here, I'm honored to serve, I serve at the pleasure of the President, but it's a, it's a 24/7 job, and I think at some point, I will be very happy to pass it on to someone else.

And she was not one bit interested in running for president again, either. So there.

Alec Baldwin says he'll quit acting after '30 Rock'

When I heard this early this morning, I was stunned. Baldwin is so funny and a good actor, but apparently not good enough in his own eyes:

He found the role that defined his career in the NBC sitcom, but "30 Rock" actor Alec Baldwin says he is prepared to leave the acting profession altogether in 2012.

The Emmy award winner told Men's Journal that he is calling it quits when his contract for the hit show expires in two years. "I don't have any interest in acting anymore," he said. "I'm not young, but I have time to do something else."

As I recall, he decided against running for office. Maybe he can become a community organizer. Run ACORN? Direct? Become a marriage counselor?

"I consider my entire movie career a complete failure. I'll tell you why. The goal of moviemaking is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that," Baldwin said.

If that's what failure is, I want some.

Palin proposes new idea that Obama already enacted:

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CNN) – Sarah Palin likes to tell voters around the country about how she “put the government checkbook online” in Alaska. On Thursday, Palin suggested she would take that same proposal to Washington.

“We’re going to do a few new things also,” she said at a rally in Cedar Rapids. “For instance, as Alaska’s governor, I put the government’s checkbook online so that people can see where their money’s going. We’ll bring that kind of transparency, that responsibility, and accountability back. We’re going to bring that back to D.C.”

There’s just one problem with proposing to put the federal checkbook online – somebody’s already done it. His name is Barack Obama.

One more example of Palin/McCain's out-of-touchdom. If they are this careless and unable to keep track of the facts during a campaign, imagine how they'd be under the stress of running an entire country.

Then again, this may just be one more thing they decided to plagiarize from Barack Obama.
