Shocking VIDEO: Hate In Jerusalem on Eve of Obama's Cairo Address

By GottaLaff

Warning: this video contains profanity and material offensive to just about anyone.

This video is awful beyond words.

Max Blumenthal writes: On the eve of President Barack Obama’s address to the Muslim world from Cairo, Egypt, I stepped out onto the streets of Jerusalem with my friend Joseph Dana to interview young Israelis and American Jews about their reaction to the speech. We encountered rowdy groups of beer sodden twenty-somethings, many from the United States, and all eager to vent their visceral, even violent hatred of Barack Obama and his policies towards Israel. Usually I offer a brief commentary on my video reports, but this one requires no comment at all. Quite simply, it contains some of the most shocking footage I have ever filmed.
As Keith Olbermann would say, WTF?

Myth-information- ABC: Hannity = News

By GottaLaff

I simply must copy and paste the entire Boehlert Media Matters post. I wouldn't want you to miss one scrumptious word of it:

Perfectly capturing the mindset of our 'liberal media', which treats right-wing hate radio hosts as being deeply insightful and important, ABC's The Note posts this news bulletin:

ABC News' Rick Klein reports: Conservative talk-show host Sean Hannity today called President Obama’s speech in Cairo part of “an apology tour” that conveys a sense that America has been “arrogant.”

BTW, The Note offered no context, rebuttal or fact-checking in its Hannity report. It was just Stenography 101.

But did The Note post this Hannity-related newsworthy little tidbit? I'm gonna take a wild guess and say "no".

VIDEO-- Liz Cheney: Obama Wants To Hold Hands With Terrorists

By GottaLaff

Liz is just jealous, 'cause nobody would want to hold hands with her:

“I think that if we lived in a world where terrorism, and the slaughter of innocents, and Iran’s hegemonic hopes for the Middle East could be met, could be defeated, could be dealt with by sort of hand-holding going forward, then we’d be in a much simpler environment. But these are very, very tough issues. And I was troubled by the extent to which I heard moral relativism.”

That’s some highly suggestive language coming from Ms. Cheney, isn’t it?

In reality, in his speech today, Obama strongly denounced 9/11-denial to an Arab audience, said American troops are in Afghanistan out of “necessity,” because terrorists are “determined to kill as many Americans as they possibly can,” and said America’s commitment to destroying terror networks “will not waver.

Ooo, Prez O lerves him the terrorists! Obama's a wimp! Obama's gonna get us all killt! The country was safer under BushCo!

You remember BushCo, don't you? That's the bunch of criminal thugs who touted this cretin as their rough, tough, brilliant leader:

See? He'd never think of holding hands with ANYone who's different from... Oh. Never mind.

And nothing bad, like say, a terrorist attack, happened on his watch... Oh. Never mind.

Seriously, if this is a person who has ambitions to hold public office, then maybe she should realize that all of her little rants end up in those darned archives.

She's all Cheney, all the time, through and through. The more she puts her self out there, the more she reminds America of her despicable heritage. Keep it up, Liz. We're all ears.

President Barack Hussein Obama May Make Major Speech From Islamic Capital

By Gotta Hussein Laff

Here's your change:
President-elect Obama's aides say "he is considering making a major foreign policy speech from an Islamic capital during his first 100 days in office," according to the New York Times.

The consensus is that he may give the speech in Cairo, Egypt.
Any and all speculation on what the Righties will scream say is more than welcome in Comments.

UPDATE via Matthew DeLong:

From Reuters, in January:

Once I’m elected, I want to organize a summit in the Muslim world, with all the heads of state, to have an honest discussion about ways to bridge the gap that grows every day between Muslims and the West,” Thursday’s edition of Paris Match quoted Obama as saying,

I want to ask them to join our fight against terrorism. We must also listen to their concerns,” Obama said in the French-language transcript.

The speech is a good move, but a summit is still a very good idea. It would build good will and send an immediate signal to the rest of the world that the tone of American foreign policy is going to be moving in a different direction under the new administration.

Also, by inviting every leader in the Muslim world — including Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and even the new Israeli prime minister — a summit could provide a little political cover from critics who scoffed at the notion of meeting with hostile foreign leaders “without preconditions.” Obama could hear their concerns without giving the bully pulpit to Ahmadinenjad that those critics fear bilateral talks would produce.

Most important, it would break the ice between the United States and its perceived enemies again, which most of the world would welcome.

January 20th. That's all I gotta say.
