Rep. King: Hate crimes law makes gays 'sacred cows' and puts 'victimizer's focus on someone else'

Is the real reason they are against a hate crimes bill just that they don't want to have to stop publicly hating? OTOH, I'd love to see those gay sacred cows. Via Think Progress.
