Federal prosecutors have subpoenaed documents from the Chicago Tribune's parent company in the corruption investigation of Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Then she made some crack about how Obama has distanced himself, "maybe too well", from Blago. See, there's still so much we don't know, see. "What's going on there behind the scenes?" she asks Jessica Yellin, dying to get some teeny tiny tidbit on the president-elect.
But Yellin says, we just have to wait. Biased Brown is saying how much more forthcoming Obama was today, because you know, up 'til now they've been secretive and must be hiding something big.
Yellin said the Obama team is careful, not naive, but the pressure was on to divulge more. Today still wasn't enough, either, says Jessica. Biased Brown is salivating.
Liveblogging. Now Biased Brown is all a-quiver with anticipation as she announces that her panel will examine whether Obama really, really said enough.
Even though they're not in office yet, this is the Obama administration's first real political crisis! she says. Did he do enough in the transparency department? He needs to clear up the question of Valerie Jarrett (Candidate #1), she says.
This is "classic Obama", he's an incrementalist, adds her guest, Carol Marin of the Chicago Sun Times. He's deliberate, in control of his message.
Counters Biased Brown, is that a positive... or a :: dun dun dunnn:: negative? Why, he should be outraged! He should be screaming and yelling and out of control! Not cool and detached! How unpresidential of him!
No bias, no bull. In her dreams.
