As doomed as John McCain looked for the 2008 election last week, his latest numbers out of Florida and Ohio by Rasmussen Reports look promising. Rasmussen still has McCain ahead comfortable in Florida and they show a close race in Ohio. So despite the fact that it is a tremendous feat for Obama to be ahead in Quinnipiac's three state polls of FL, OH, and PA; McCain has done pretty much the same thing but with Rasmussen Reports.
And with us four to five months away from the election; what gives the poll by Quinnipiac University any more credence and credibility than Rasmussen Reports? [...] (Laffy Note: follow the link for Florida and Ohio poll numbers)
Whether these Rasmussen numbers are inflated or the other way around, Obama would still lead in the electoral vote race 300 to 238.
