Video- Rep Pete King on Detroit Bomber Wannabee

Granted, I saw this in the middle of the night, but does it seem to anyone else that Pete King is enjoying this a wee bit too much? He seems a little, um, satisfied and show offy about his contacts. And why are they talking to King? He's the ex chair of the House HSC, the current chair (a D as those things work out) is Rep Bernie Thompson of Mississippi. Or I could just be affected by my utter hatred of Pete King.

Republican Peter King calls Holder investigation of BushCo/CIA 'bulls**t'

See, Rep. Peter King, when crimes are committed, investigations are necessary. People were tortured and murdered. That cannot be ignored. That demands scrutiny. If it's inconvenient, too bad. If they were committed by members of your own party, too freakin' bad.

"It's bullsh*t. It's disgraceful. You wonder which side they're on," the Long Island Republican told Politico Tuesday.

They're on the side of justice, Pete.

On Monday, Attorney Gen. Eric Holder asked federal prosecutor John Durham to examine whether CIA interrogations of suspected terrorists were illegal in the months and years after the September 11 attacks. [...]

The White House said Tuesday that President Obama supported Holder's decision.

"It's a total breach of faith, and either the president is intentionally caving to the left wing of his party or he's lost control of his administration," King said Tuesday.

No, Petey, it's the Rushpublics who have lost control... all control. Need proof? Attend any town hall meeting. The assault weapons are a dead giveaway.

Then read what I've referenced below the ********* line. Then read Jane Mayer's The Dark Side. Then re-read (if indeed, you've ever read it to begin with) the U.S. Constitution and the Geneva Conventions.

Then remember-- if you're one of those who feels it necessary to look forward and not back-- that all crimes took place in the past. That's how we know they happened.

And if anyone says otherwise, it's bulls**t.

Then read Jane Mayer's book The Dark Side. You'll have a much greater understanding of why I post endlessly about this, and why I'm all over the CIA deception issues, too.

Obama Offered Irish Ambassadorship To Rep. Pete King (R-NY)

Other than the straight up loveliness of the politics behind this, the fact that King plans to run for the Senate (and should have his butt handed to him) makes it even sweeter. Believe me, come 2010 when King ends up with nothing to do with his days, that gorgeous residence in Phoenix park is going to make him very sad.

Still not convinced President Obama wants to sabotage the Republican party by luring all moderates** to his side?

The New York Daily News reports the White House "dangled the ambassadorship to Ireland" in front of Rep. Pete King (R-NY).

However, King "chose to remain in Congress despite the Democrats' desire to wipe out all the Republican members of Congress in the Northeast."
**Pete King a moderate?

Pete King May Run For NY Senate In '10

Oh what fun that would be. Video above is of King talking about how Baghdad is just like Manhattan.

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Republican Congressman Peter King, who was a visible and outspoken supporter of Rudy Giuliani during the 2008 campaign, said he’s interested in running for Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat when it comes up in 2010.

“I am seriously considering the race for Hillary Clinton's seat," King told AP. "I'm very serious about it."
