Mything In Action-- Librul Media. Network news coverage favored Republicans 1992-2004

By GottaLaff

Yeah yeah, liberal media, yeah yeah. It's a myth. Now we have even more proof. Tell your Republican friends, if they'll even listen:
[A]study of campaign coverage released by Indiana University has found that ABC, CBS, and NBC favored Republicans in each of the presidential elections from 1992 through 2004. The study, which is the “first major research project analyzing the relatively unexplored territory of visual coverage in presidential elections,” found that “production decisions” such as editing techniques, camera angles and shot lengths were more favorable to Republicans. The study also looked at “who is given the last say in a piece,” finding that “GOP candidates were favored in terms of having the last say in all but the 2004 election.”
We didn't need no stinkin' study to tell us that, now did we?

Assessing Robert Gibbs

By GottaLaff

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer and Blonde Co-Anchorette just now on Robert Gibbs first presser:
"It was pretty contentious."
"It was a feisty group."
"If you thought the press was going easy on Obama..."
Judging by time invested, President Obama's Blackberry is apparently very important to the press.

Switching to CNN... Wolf Blitzer:
"...by no means easy."
"On some questions, he did pretty well. On others, he was dodging."
Wolf is harping on the re-swearing-in with no cameras aka The Big Controversy. Yeah, that's important when the Middle East is exploding and our economy is in tatters. Good job, Corporate Media!

On the substantive issues, Wolf says, Gibbs did very well and was well-informed.

CNN Anchorette thought the questions were too soft today. Ed Henry says Gibbs dodged on Bin Laden. He's also all over William Lynn, a former lobbyist, being part of the Obama administration.

Yep, the Librul Media is in Obama's back pocket. It's so obvious, isn't it?
