VIDEO- Countdown: Palin wants America to revert back to 1775

By GottaLaff

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

This was one of my favorite segments last night, and not because Markos wore a color coordinated outfit. That was just a bonus.

See, Preachy McSoWrong? Even before video, there were these things called-- say it with me-- "doc-u-ments". Try reading the Constitution. Oh wait. She doesn't read.

VIDEO- Countdown: Markos Moulitsas talks Palin, violent extremism

By GottaLaff

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Now this is how I like to see Markos dressed... casual, understated.

And despite his regrets about losing his voice, he sounded just dandy.

However, I understand they did ask for photo I.D. before they let him on. MSNBC could get their license pulled for allowing anyone under 21 to discuss violence.

VIDEO- Markos Moulitsas and his shirt on Countdown

By GottaLaff

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

We on Twitter enjoy commenting on Markos' wardrobe when he appears on Countdown.

I told him I was putting this video up just to get another look at his shirt. His response:

I told him I had no more time to chat because I was late for my abortion.

Evil. Pure evil. Bwahahaa!

Netroots Nation auction: Pick a tie for Markos Moulitsas

By GottaLaff

Netroots Nation is coming up. From July 22-25, there's a big meet up, and this year it's in Las Vegas and Al Franken is the keynote speaker.

Netroots Nation amplifies progressive voices by providing an online and in-person campus for exchanging ideas and learning how to be more effective in using technology to influence the public debate. Through our annual convention and a series of regional salons held throughout the year, we strengthen our community, inspire action and serve as an incubator for ideas that challenge the status quo and ultimately affect change in the public sphere.

They're having an auction, and one of the items is this:

Wait, what? Why pick a tie for Markos? Because when he pops up on Countdown, as he is wont to do, Twitter goes all a-Twitter over his choice of ties, so Netroots Nation decided to have some fun with that.
And you thought March Madness was a basketball tournament. Not for Netroots Nation.

The tradition continues with our Spring On-line Auction, the proceeds of which support the important work we do, including our annual Convention and our regional Salon Series.

So let the bidding madness begin! [...]

Through donating items and generously bidding, you help us offset the cost of the Convention and our regional salon series. And for this we thank you.

CSPAN covers this event, and it has become a pretty darn big deal.

Poll-itics: Most Republicans think Obama is a socialist, should be impeached

By GottaLaff

Last night Markos Moulitsas gave us a preview of this on Countdown:

A new Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll of Republicans finds that 63% believe that President Obama is a socialist, compared to 21% who say he is not and 16% that are not sure.

The survey also found that 53% believe that Sarah Palin is more qualified to be president than Obama, with 14% who believe Obama is more qualified and 33% who said they were not sure.
The ClusterFox Factor is alive and well.

Kos has more:

Should Barack Obama be impeached, or not?

Yes 39
No 32
Not Sure 29

[...]

Do you believe Barack Obama was born in the United States, or not?

Yes 42
No 36
Not Sure 22

[...]

Do you believe ACORN stole the 2008 election?

Yes 21
No 24
Not Sure 55

[...]

Should same sex couples be allowed to marry?

Yes 7
No 77
Not Sure 16

[...]

Should openly gay men and women be allowed to teach in public schools?

Yes 8
No 73
Not Sure 19

[...]

Over a third of Republicans believe the birth control pill is abortion, which explains why nearly a third of them want contraceptive use outlawed.
There's a lot more. Just follow the link.

Video- Markos Moulitsas: Progressives and the political landscape

Markos did really well. It's funny, but I remember the first time he was going to be on some show and how he posted over at Kos for critiques and suggestions. Looks like the DFH's have finally got a seat at the table... sometimes. How he sat next to Scarborough without jack slapping him I don't know.

Fox Nation comment: "It is time to shoot them all."

By GottaLaff

A Twitter pal of mine who goes by StopBeck (you can see why we're friends) sent me this screen grab from the Fox Nation website. I wanted to share the love:

Remember when the wingnuts accused sites like Daily Kos of allowing hostile comments on their sites? Who was that again? Bill O'Reilly? Why yes, yes it was.

I guess "It is time to shoot them all" is meant as an overture of civility.

With ClusterFoxers like this, who needs Beck?

And yes, my source is notifying the Secret Service.

VIDEO: Tom Tancredo storms off The Ed Show

By GottaLaff

A sight to behold. As Emptywheel tweeted, "He can't stand up to a Latino blogger?!?!"

Way to go, Markos!

Poll-itics: Rush v. Sotomayor edition

By GottaLaff

Via Kos on Twitter:

Rush: well OUTSIDE the AMERICAN mainstream, but well INSIDE the REPUBLICAN mainstream.
That about sums it up. Here's the proof...

Dear GOP: Not funny

By GottaLaff

Kos grabbed the screen shot below before it was scrubbed. This Rushpublic attempt at tone deaf, racist "humor" is one more example of why their self-inflicted implosion is gaining momentum:
