Maybe if he'd certify Al Franken already, he'd see his numbers perk up:

Though Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) is thought to harbor ambitions to run for president in 2012, a new SurveyUSA poll finds that 57% of Minnesota voters don't even want him to run for a third term next year.

Not exactly the kind of encouragement he'd want as a potential 2012 candidate. Tsk tsk. That's what he gets for depriving his state of a U.S. Senator.
