Czech mate! Obama shuns dinner with Prague officials for a romantic night out with Michelle

I love, love, love this! And before the wingers heads start 'splodin again, note the last paragraphs. Diplomacy and romance?

It's Saturday night and couples all over the world will be sharing a romantic dinner for two.

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are no exception - but they are on an official visit to the Czech Republic and have turned down offers to dine with the country's leaders.

President Obama will land in Czech capital Prague this evening but rather than meeting his hosts, he is spending an intimate night with Michelle.

'He requested a romantic dinner with a view of Prague, where they can eat the best Czech food. They have spent days trying to decide on the right restaurant,' a source told The Times.

His refusal to meet the leaders for dinner may be diplomatic.

There is a long running feud between Czech President Vaclav Klaus and the prime minister Mirek Topolanek.

Both Czech leaders invited the US president to dinner, but he instead opted to spend time with his wife.
