GREENVILLE — A family owned car dealership that has operated in the Mississippi Delta for more than 80 years has now closed.
England Motor Co. is a Ford and Honda dealership in Greenville. It opened in 1926 and has been run by the same family for three generations.
Calls to the dealership went unanswered Friday.
The CEO of the Delta Economic Development Center, Ed Johnson, estimates the local economy could lose as much as $10 million because dozens of former England employees will reduce their spending in stores and restaurants.
