This article opens a whole new query that needs to be figured out. Obama himself arrived here last night and stayed here. He didn't take what is about a 30 minute flight to go sleep in his own home with his family, he was here in South Bend (once again, a hop, skip and a jump from his own warm bed) 12 hours before the only scheduled event. SOUTH BEND — Illinois Sen. Barack Obama touched down at South Bend Regional Airport more than 12 hours before a planned town hall meeting in Elkhart Wednesday morning. The early arrival has sparked yet another round of rumors that he could be prepared to announce Sen. Evan Bayh as his choice for vice president sometime soon.
Stage crews finished setting up lights and speakers late Tuesday for Obama's town all meeting at Concord High School. The Democratic presidential hopeful is expected to talk about America's energy policy and the economy during the event.
He'll share the stage at Concord with a familiar face: Bayh. But will the two also share the Democratic ticket on the November ballot?
