War Brewing at Fox Over Beck

By GottaLaff

This is knee-slapping hilarious on so many levels:

Glenn Beck’s meteoric rise has some at Fox News worried that he’s becoming the face of the network—and ruining any chance it has to be viewed as a legitimate news source.

Oh, whew! Excuse me! Wow, sorry. I had to pick myself up off the floor after having fallen off my broken desk chair laughing my fool head off. Gasping for air here.

Let's break this down:

1. Beck's meteoric rise came after his meteoric fall at CNN.

2. Beck's meteoric rise doesn't amount to a hill of meteoric television network ratings beans.

Here's a glimpse of the real world. Network news, during a down week:

Please note, that because of the holidays, the networks only had national news broadcasts three days last week:

December 2009:

NBC
ABC
CBS

Total Viewers:
9,370,000
8,560,000
6,160,000

A25-54:
2,840,000
2,270,000
1,830,000

Now here's cable, March 11, 2010

Live + Same Day Cable News Daily Ratings for March 11, 2010

P2+ Total Day
FNC – 1,382,000 viewers
CNN – 405,000 viewers
MSNBC –361,000 viewers
CNBC – 219,000 viewers
HLN – 315,000 viewers

P2+ Prime Time

CNN – 737,000 viewers
MSNBC –820,000 viewers
CNBC – 207,000 viewers
HLN –531,000 viewers
3. Since when does ClusterFox worry about anything? Their irrational decision to put Beck and O'Reilly, Palin--and the rest of their line-up-- on the air in the first place... now that should have them really worried.

4. Beck as the so-called face of the network has them concerned? And this one doesn't?

5. Viewed as a "legitimate news source"? Fox? Oh no, here I go again.... Hahahahahaaa! Stop. Please! Ahahahaaaa!!! Can't breathe!

Forget Jay Leno. Maybe NBC should have considered Brian Williams for a prime-time job.

The week before last, Williams' "Nightly News" was seen by an average of 10.1 million viewers each evening, The Associated Press reports.

Poll- 5 things Republicans think of Republicans

I've got no problem with these at all. I'd like to see what Democrats think of Democrats these days though.

  1. Conservative Say 21 percent of Republicans
  2. Unfavorable Say 19 percent of Republicans
  3. Favorable Say 14 percent of Republicans
  4. Lost Their Way Say 9 percent of Republicans
  5. Closed-minded Say 3 percent of Republicans
