Thanksgiving TV Marathon Guide: Saturday

Gaw, this line up makes yard work look good.

*After two days of stuffing and mashed potatoes, nothing fits, right? Well, feel better about yourself by tuning in to TLC’s What Not to Wear marathon? Sure, those pants may be a little snug at this point after the past couple of days of not knowing when to say “when”, but at least you’ve got style. Unlike these poor saps.

*Think your family’s dysfunctional? Well, at least you’re not the Bundys. So, it could be worse, right? Head on over to TV Land for their Married…With Children-apalooza.

*Repeat after me, “I’m getting too old for this s—!” That’s right, back-to-back-to-back Riggs and Murtaugh over on Spike with Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2 (hello, Patsy Kensit!), and Lethal Weapon 3. If you’re still hungry for more action after that, why not check out the late great Swayze as the world’s baddest bouncer in Road House, which, for my money, should become to Thanksgiving what It’s a Wonderful Life is to Christmas.

*Finally, over on Syfy, there’s a glorious block of cheese that includes such B-movie monster gems as Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus and Lake Placid 2.

Rachel Maddow a "Coup" on LA Times Image Index

Man, 2008 is def Rachel's year.

How refreshing to see a TV pundit — and Rhodes scholar — who’s loyal to her signature style. Rachel Maddow, 35, waxes poetic about politics and takes on the GOP on her daily eponymous show on MSNBC. This month she appears in Vogue, and the self-described butch lesbian didn’t succumb to a glitzy glam makeover; she’s wearing a Jil Sander suit and black Converse high-tops.
Added- Rachel gets a shout out from the SF Chron also. (along with Walt Goggins from The Shield, who just floored me in the last season.) h/t Zeke in comments.

YEAH!!!!! Hip hip HOORAY!!! More Hartmann please?

It appears David Shuster will continue anchoring "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" beyond this week. The New York Times' Brian Stelter reports Shuster will be named the permanent anchor of the 6pmET MSNBC program later today.

David Gregory was the previous anchor of the program, which was formerly the home of "Race for the White House."
