Gawker Attempts to Ambush the Fox News "Ambusher"

Get out the popcorn. Get out the drinks. Get out the beanbag chair (wait, what?), because this will so be worth the junk food overload, drinking binge, and resulting hangover:

Gawker's John Cook is on a mission.

He's trying to get an interview with Fox News Channel producer Jesse Watters who is known for his ambush interviews for Bill O'Reilly's show.

Cook phoned Watters yesterday attempting to get an interview and was immediately transferred to FNC media relations who later, via email, denied the request.

We found it odd that Watters would refuse to talk to a reporter, given the lengths to which he goes to compel others speak to him.

So, Cook went all Jesse Watters and this morning began staking out his house to get the interview...

Shoe. Foot. Other.

Fox News producer busted for child porn

This is so sick, and so typically hypocritical of Fox, whose on-air personalities' sanctimonious spew isn't worth the saliva it takes to spit out their self-righteous words:

A TVNewser tipster tells us Aaron Bruns, a producer in the Fox News Channel Washington, D.C. bureau, has been arrested and charged with one count of possession of child pornography. A Fox News spokesperson confirms, telling TVNewser, "We are aware of the arrest and he is currently suspended without pay."

This is the same Aaron Bruns who was embedded with Hillary Clinton's campaign. That Aaron Bruns.

FishbowlDC reports this is not Bruns' first run-in with the law. He dropped out of the University of Michigan in 1999 after being arrested on charges of distributing child pornography. So why wasn't Bruns checked out by Fox News? A network spokesperson tells TVNewser criminal background checks were not instituted until 2003. Bruns was hired in 2002.
