And darn that Commander in Chief for speaking to America about decisions that affect the entire world! How dare he stop dithering! Who does he think he is?

Ted Kennedy will not attend Obama's address to Congress

As one would expect, the lion needs to sit this one out:

Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) will not attend Obama's address to Congress on Tuesday. [...]

A Kennedy spokesman said the senator is staying engaged, holding regular meetings on healthcare reform and staying in "constant" contact with the White House and congressional leaders.

Good idea. Besides, he needs to save his strength for the health care legislation fight, which is "the cause of his life."

President Obama is scheduled to give a "presidential address to Congress" -- which serves as an alternative to the traditional State of the Union address in a president's first year -- on Feb. 24 in the House chamber, Politico reports.
