Obama reads to kids at Boys & Girls Club

It's just your run of the mill story til you get to this uber adorable part-
It wasn't long before Obama had to go back to the White House. But not before a 7-year-old boy named Niko Letterlough stole the scene.Pics via.
Niko asked Obama to come back to visit sometime and play him in foosball, a tabletop soccer-style game in which players try to knock a ball in a goal.
"Are you a pretty good foosball player?" Obama asked. "You know, I hate getting beat."
"I'll let you win," Niko said.
Then the boy smiled and confidently gave the president a fist bump.

Michelle Obama Reaches Out to Orphans
Like many first ladies, Michelle Obama spends a lot of her time in public with children. Her visit Moscow was no different. Mrs. Obama visited the St. Dmitriy Orphanage, meeting with about two dozen children.
The children range in age from four to 16, some are true orphans, some disabled, others come from so called “vulnerable families” – those with more than four to five children, who simply need help.
Several of the children performed for Mrs. Obama – some sang, others played piano. They presented her with handmade gifts, including a large geometrical ball made from paper, and a large framed hand embroidered flower. The young girl who presented the flower said it had taken her two days to complete.
The children asked Mrs. Obama how many children she has. She responded, two girls, including one named Sasha. Mrs. Obama explained that Natasha is Sasha’s full name, and that it is the President’s favorite name.
“How many Sasha’s do you have here?” she asked the group. There were three in all. Mrs. Obama told the children that her daughters are spending the day with their grandmother making dolls.

Kids make Obama mural from 24,000 dominoes
WESTFIELD, Mass., June 17 (UPI) -- Students at a Westfield, Mass., school have completed a two-month project to build a mural
of President Barack Obama from 24,000 dominoes.
The Franklin Avenue Elementary School students, working in tandem with Westfield State College mathematicians, said the "Obaminoes" mural was created to honor the nation's 44th president -- and to learn a bit about linear programming math, WWLP-TV, Springfield, Ma., reported Wednesday.
"We were the only elementary school to do this and to have a piece of artwork of our 44th president, the only African American president. It means a lot," said Marissa Costa, fifth-grader and one of the hundreds of students who contributed to "Obaminoes."

Disgust At 'Lego' Terrorist Toys

Did they really have to go there? Do little kids need to understand what a terrorist is, let alone a radical Islamist one? At least they're not official Lego products.
The toy mini-figures, made by American Will Chapman, includes a masked terrorist bandit with an assault rifle, grenade launcher and belt of explosives.
Shocked by the playthings, British Muslim organisation the Ramadhan Foundation has branded the figurines "absolutely disgusting".
Chief executive Mohammed Shafiq said the figures were "glorifying terrorism".
He said: "I don't think there's any difference between someone that shouts hatred through a megaphone and someone that creates a doll that glorifies terrorists.

Birth of a trend? Baby Obama born in Florida

Oh man, pretty soon we're going to be up to our knees in Barrys, Rockys and Obies. Will the girls be called Bamas?
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Barack Obama may have a "funny name," as he once said — but it might just catch on among the nation's newborns.
A Florida couple became among the country's first to bestow it on their child, even before most had declared the Illinois senator the president-elect.
Sanjae Obama Fisher was born at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Hollywood's Memorial Regional Hospital to Patrick and Sasha Hall Fisher.
