Twitter Watch: "I laughed so hard to see Olbermann's rant about his father's health...Die..."

I appreciate Twitter. I'm a constant tweeter. Because of Twitter, I've been able to chat with people I'd never hope to meet anywhere else, our readership has grown tremendously, and I've gotten several radio gigs.

However, it has its drawbacks.

One of them is named TonyPagano51:

This is someone who is sick and in desperate need of attention.

He also needs exposing and should be prohibited from tweeting. I've reported him twice to Twitter spam and blocked him as well. Unfortunately, he still shows up on my Twitter search stream since he addresses me by name, and Twitter has yet to delete his account.

In other words, he harasses people, and I'm one of them.

Maybe this will help, it's worked before. Thank you for indulging me.

Michele Bachmann: 'I'm a Lovable Little Fuzz Ball!'

Lovable, never. Fuzz ball? Possibly. Oh, wait, I'm thinking of "dust bunny". No, "nut ball". "Fuzz nut"? "Nut bunny?" "Hairball"?

Here's what Michele Bachmann said in a MinnPost interview rationalizing why "liberals hate her":

"I don't know. I'm a lovable little fuzz ball! I have no idea what they would have to fear. I guess you would have to ask them; they would have the better answer to your question. I don't fear the left, and maybe that's part of the loathing that they feel toward me."

Yes Michele, nothing says "lovable" like a hairy little sphere of lunacy. You keep right on believing your own endearitude.

Actually, Hairy McBallington, we don't fear you. It's impossible to fear a toddler. However, we do fear, and loathe, the hatred you willfully incite.

Now go away.

Coleman Seen as Likely to Give Up Fight

Toker Norm probably needs time off to start up his bid for governor:

Roll Call reports Senate Republicans will defer to Norm Coleman's (R) decision whether or not to pursue a federal lawsuit if he loses his Senate recount court case to Al Franken (D) in Minnesota.

In addition, sources close to Coleman say he "would likely give up his legal battle and accept defeat if the Minnesota Supreme Court decides in Franken's favor. That's because Coleman anticipates that Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) would ultimately sign Franken's certification papers."

I don't care what his reasons might be. Just get #60 in already!

Despite million of murders by Nazis, Condi Rice, "with all due respect", insists that Nazis were less of a threat to the U.S. than al Qaeda:


"No dear, you're wrong. We didn't torture anyone... Do your homework." Rice goes on to shut the student up, interrupting him, and resumes rattling on her version of the facts. "By the way, I didn't authorize anything."

Speaking with a group of Stanford students Monday, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice declared that al Qaeda is a greater threat to the United States than Nazi Germany was because Germany "never attacked the homeland of the United States." In a defensive exchange with a student, she also insisted that the Bush administration had always wanted to hold trials for detainees, but the Supreme Court wouldn't let them.

Of course, the Supreme Court "stayed" the Bush administration's military commissions because they were woefully inadequate.

The most chilling quote (around 6:07): "We were told: Nothing that violates our obligations under the conventions against torture. And so, by definition, if it was authorized by the president, it did not violate our obligations under the conventions against torture."

Poll-itics-- Oh Normy-y-y: Minnesotans Want Coleman to Concede

Toker Norm just can't take a hint. A hit (as in inhaling), yes. A hint, not so much:

Nearly two-thirds of Minnesotans (64%) surveyed think Norm Coleman (R) should concede the U.S. Senate race to Al Franken (D), according to a new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll. Just 28% consider last week's appeal by Coleman to the Minnesota Supreme Court "appropriate."

"Large majorities of those polled said they would oppose any further appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Should Coleman win at the state Supreme Court, 57% of respondents said Franken should concede. And 73% believe Coleman should give up if he loses at the state's highest court."

Toker Norm: Razed and confused.
