Court to rule today on Larry Craig bathroom sex case

Oh, it seems such a simpler time, when we weren't having our lives pinched by the collapsing economy and actually thought some hypocritical Republican trying to snag a quickie in the public john was scandalous!

The Minnesota Court of Appeals is expected to rule today on Sen. Larry Craig's contention that he was wrongly convicted of looking for anonymous sex in a men's bathroom at the Twin Cities airport.

Craig, an Idaho Republican who is leaving the U.S. Senate at the end of this term, argued that he was wrongly convicted of disorderly conduct.

He was arrested in June during a sex sting at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

“You know, as that old saying goes, I thought they already threw the kitchen sink, but I think more is to come. I think other parts of the bathroom are coming. I don’t know, man, they’re going up and getting the bathroom sink. So look, we have a lot of reason to be encouraged but it is far, far from over.”
