Sharpton threatens suit against Limbaugh
By GottaLaff
Reverend Al Sharpton and his lawyers say they are preparing to file a defamation lawsuit against conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh for an op-ed published Saturday, which Sharpton alleges "erroneously" characterizes his (Sharpton's) role in a string of violent incidents in New York in the early 90's.Follow the link for the details. In the op-ed published in Saturday's Wall Street Journal Limbaugh writes Sharpton "played a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot (he called neighborhood Jews ‘diamond merchants’) and 1995 Freddie's Fashion Mart riot." [...]
According to a statement put out by Sharpton’s media consultant, a study New York Governor Mario Cuomo commissioned showed Sharpton was not involved in the Crown Heights incident until after the rioting concluded. [...]
Sharpton said unless Limbaugh apologizes or clarifies his remarks, the Reverend’s attorneys will move forward with a lawsuit.
Two very vocal, gigantic personalities at each other's throats. Yep. Just another news day.

Hannity and Sharpton?

I don't get the addition of Meatloaf, but the idea of Sharpton, Bachmann and Hannity in the same room together makes my head hurt.
The new Alan Colmes-less Hannity premieres Monday with frequent Fox News guest Al Sharpton filling the liberal seat on Sean Hannity's newly christened "Great American Panel."
Rep. Michelle Bachman (R-Minn.) will fill the seat on the right. (And she should have plenty to talk about given the Senate dispute in her state between Al Franken and Norm Coleman.)
The X-factor on the panel: Meatloaf.

Reverend Sharpton's Fabulous Registration Bus Tour

BFCE. Al's pretty popular with the older AA demographic so this could be a real shot in the arm for registration.
Al Sharpton is hitting the road on a bus tour for voter registration. His goal -- to register an “estimated 9.5 million unregistered blacks nationally. The campaign is targeting Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Florida, North Carolina and Michigan, possibly pivotal states in the contest between Obama, a Democrat who would be the first black U.S. president, and Republican John McCain."
