VIDEO: VA GOP Candidate: We May Have To "Resort To The Bullet Box"

By GottaLaff

Transcript of Tea Tantrumer Crabill, who makes Sarah the Quitter look nearly sane:

Resolutions passed at the 2009 state convention, resolution number seven in recognition of the tea parties.

Whereas citizens of the United States of American have begun to recognize the destructive nature of the Democrat administration, and the Democrat congress’ taxing and spending and borrowing policies; Whereas under the first amendment of the United States Constitution citizens have taken upon themselves the task of organizing and attending the tea party protests; Whereas the ideals expressed in the Virginia Republican creed reflect the ideals, goals, and spirt of these tea parties.

[snip]

"If war is inevitable, then let it come. I repeat, sir, let it come."

We have a chance to fight this battle at the ballot box, before we have to resort to the bullet box. But that is the beauty of our second amendment right. I am glad all of us enjoy our firearms for hunting, but make no mistake, that was not the intent of the Founding Fathers. Our second amendment right was to guard against tyranny.

Oh my. Oh dear and oh my:
Crabill, who proclaims on her campaign website that "America was founded by right-wing extremists," has already drawn fire for her controversial views. Among other things, she believes the U.S. government played a role in the Oklahoma City Bombing.

But the DHS report was so offensive and gasp-inducing that Janet Napolitano felt compelled to apologize:
"I think it is important for all of us to remember that Americans are not the enemy. The terrorists are," the American Legion's national commander, David K. Rehbein, said in a letter to Napolitano.
With friends like Crabill...

If we're lucky, she'll join forces with Michele Bachmann. Bachmann/Crabill 2012! And that's only because Sarah the Quitter is too busy making money to get on the ticket. And even if she did, she'd drop out before the race was over.

VIDEO: Lesbian YouTube video embraced by Virgina GOP

By GottaLaff

UPDATE:

TPM reports that it was a prank.
Get the kids out of the room. I'll wait. ::taps foot impatiently:: Are they gone? Good. Now get a load of this:

As Virginia political blog Not Larry Sabato details, someone who runs the RPV's official YouTube channel was apparently way into a YouTube video titled "The Kiss," a video that could potentially redefine the age-old "Virginia is for lovers" motto to include lesbian softcore erotica. I think you'll agree, this video is probably NSFW, unless you work for the Republican Party of Virginia.

Sadly, however, this brief flirtation with edge came to an end after someone removed this content from the RPV's YouTube channel. [...] Luckily, Not Larry Sabato preserved the memory with this screenshot:

There's hope for the Rushpublics yet. Sort of.

Or not.

Virginia GOP chief asked to leave

By GottaLaff

And now it's time for another episode of "Rushpublics Eating Their Own". In our last episode, everyone in the party realized they had no future. Today we join a circular firing squad already in progress:

Leaders of the Republican Party of Virginia are asking Chairman Jeff Frederick to resign or face ouster at the party's State Central Committee meeting next month.

"I think it's something that has to be remedied, and remedies have to take place," said Michael Wade, chairman of the 3rd Congressional District Republican Committee.

Mr. Frederick said Thursday afternoon that he is not going down without a fight and has the votes to stay in his position. At a meeting of the group's governing body April 4, a three-fourths majority vote could remove him.

"I will not retreat from the commitment I made to the core of our party who clearly and unmistakably expressed their will at last May's convention," he said. "I have every intention of continuing as chairman and completing my term in May 2012."

And now it's time for a commercial break. Tired of that run-down feeling? Wish you had your old pizazz back? Take Obamatol! Yes, folks, just one dose of Obamatol and you'll feel good as new! Get some today!

Now back to our program:

The 33-year-old, who announced last month that he would not run for a fourth term as a Prince William County representative in the House, pledged to rebuild and mobilize a state party struggling to stem Democratic gains.

Under his leadership, however, Barack Obama became the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the state since 1964; former Gov. Mark Warner, a Democrat, won the seat of a retiring Republican; and Democrats reversed the Republican majority among the state's congressional delegation in November elections.

Mr. Frederick was criticized during the presidential campaign for saying Mr. Obama and Osama bin Laden "both have friends that bombed the Pentagon."

Will Mr. Frederick survive? Will he be ousted? Will all the Democrats in Virginia stop what they're doing at a predesignated time and point and laugh? Will I stop asking meaningless questions? Stay tuned.

Former Attorney General Bob McDonnell, the party's lone candidate in a crucial governor's race this year:

"It is clear to me, after hearing from Republican leaders across the state, that as we move forward with our campaign, as well as the other statewide and House of Delegates races, it would be helpful for the Republican Party of Virginia to have more effective leadership in this pivotal year," he said.

Leadership issues? The Rushpublics have leadership issues? Who knew? Since when? Oh yeah. But that's not important now. What is important is this:

More than 75 percent of the GOP committee's roughly 76 voting members have signed correspondence calling on Mr. Frederick to be removed from the chairmanship, a source said.

Egad! Yoiks! Zounds! What a cliffhanger!

Now here's a preview of next week's all-new episode:
