So far, here's what I've gotten out of the Big Health Care Summit so far:
- Republicans are sticking to their "No" script.
- Republicans would like Big Insurance to run our lives.
- Republicans are still obsessed with page counts.
- Republicans are sticking to talking points.
- Democrats are too polite.
- Democrats are finally swatting down Republican talking points.
- Democrats should feel emboldened to get this sucker done.
- Hypotheticals are boring and redundant and accomplish very little.
- Congress is happy with their own plan. Republicans have yet to explain why we shouldn't have one too.
- Despite what Republicans say, the CBO found that premiums go DOWN under health care reform
- Republicans should, indeed, be sitting at the Kids' Table.
- We need stronger Democratic voices who know what "messaging" means.
- This isn't a government takeover. Okay Republicans?
- Everyone must put on their Serious Faces today. They're on camera.
- Congress members have no idea how to be succinct.
- To quote Markos: GOP argues 1) start over, 2) Dem plan unpopular, 3) we have a plan. Problem is, GOP plan is MORE unpopular than Dem one
