John McCain: I absolutely believe Obama respects the Constitution

I'm watching John McCain's new run for the presidency... er, I mean, his Arizona town hall meeting. About 80% of audience looks to be well over 50.

Paddy and I both missed the comment that preceded this, but McCain just said the following:

I absolutely believe Obama respects the Constitution [parphrased].

The audience booed. Loudly. J Sid had to shut them up and restate his belief in Obama's sincerity.

Then a woman who emphasized "excluding illegal aliens" got a prolonged standing ovation.

Welcome to 2008, er, 2012.
