Pritzker Nomination in Doubt

By GottaLaff

UPDATE: She looks like a poor choice for more than the reasons mentioned below. Check out Matthew DeLong's piece here.

Last night I posted a report that Penny Pritzker was Obama's choice for Secretary of Commerce. However...

Despite last night's report that Penny Pritzker was President-elect Obama's choice to become Commerce secretary, the Washington Post reports she "has run into business obstacles that will likely prevent her" from taking the post.

Said one Obama adviser: "The issue is whether she ultimately wants to do this, and it may be -- and probably will be -- possible that for business reasons, she probably can't do it."

"Secretary Penny" doesn't look like much of a possibility any more. Too bad. We could have had such fun with her name alone.
