Video- Personal Stories Of Troop Support: "The Way We Get By"

Hopefully this will make up for the Tiger Woods bimba video. Sniff.

No matter your political leanings, patriotic spirit level, or thoughts on troop deployment, this is a very inspiring personal story about a remarkable group of people in Maine who make personal sacrifices to support soldiers. Filmmaker Aron Gaudet’s mom is one of the subjects of the film. It’s one of the best docs I’ve seen all year — if you missed its PBS airing on Veterans Day, it’s available free online until Dec. 12 here. Trust me, you’ll be moved.

VIDEO: Hillary arrives at State Department

By GottaLaff

On her show just now, Rachel Maddow just pointed out what a warm welcome the State Department gave Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today. She also said, in so many words, that according to the Obama administration, diplomacy is now cool. Damn straight.

Political solutions. Imagine that.

Change.

Obama's Open (White) House

By GottaLaff

Moving day lasts only 5 hours. Visiting the Obama White House will last forever... in the memories of those lucky enough to get a ticket:
Barack Obama plans to open his White House doors to the public on his first full day of his presidency, Jan. 21.

Obama aides on Friday announced plans to have an open house at his new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The idea is to keep Obama's administration the "most open and accessible" in history by inviting hundreds of supporters inside and encouraging them to stay involved. [...]

Tickets this year are limited and interested residents can sign up on Obama's inauguration Web site, PIC2009.org.
Team Obama has bent over backwards to be inclusive. Bush is gone. Bush. Is. Gone.

We finally have a human being in the White House... an extremely intelligent, tuned-in human being with a heart and a whole lot of know-how.
