Shallow Thoughts:

Liz Cheney is branding lawyers who defend terrorists as Al Qaeda sympathizers.

Does that mean that lawyers who defend serial killers are homicidal maniac sympathizers? And that those who defend the worst kind of kidnappers are pedophile sympathizers?

Despicable Dickette may have forgotten: Defense lawyers have a job to do. It entails defending their clients. That's called "being professional" and it's how the American legal system works. If they fail to do that, they can be sued for malpractice.

Now go slither back under that rock.

Biden Attends Mother-In-Law's Funeral

Our hearts go out to the Biden family:

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden, D-Dela., Tuesday attended the funeral of his late mother-in-law Bonny Jean Jacobs, who passed away Sunday at the age of 78 after a long illness. [...]

Jacobs' husband Donald passed away in 1999.

The morning service at Abington Presbyterian Church near Philadelphia comes at the end of a trying post-debate stretch for the Delaware lawmaker. His mother-in-law's death Sunday came on the same day his son Beau began a year-long deployment to Iraq by departing for training in Texas.

On Wednesday, Biden will get back on the campaign trail traveling to Florida, where he will hold his first solo campaign rally in 12 days. His last solo rally was on September 26 in Cudahy, Wisconsin, near Milwaukee.

It will be good to see Joe back out there. Hopefully, the change of venue and focus, plus all those adoring voters, will help him get through some very, very difficult times.
