I'll have a veinte Half-Caf Mocha Frappuccino Caramel Macchiato Espresso with steamed milk and double hazelnut flavoring con panne and a dash of GOPino.

I have no idea what any of that meant, but if it gets us voters, who cares:

Interesting point from the Raleigh News & Observer: "North Carolina has maintained the strongest Democratic Party in the South during the past decade by siphoning off moderate Starbucks Republicans."

Obama Makes Another Republican Appointment

There aren't going to be any moderate Republicans left that Obama hasn't co-opted into his administration. Heh.

Continuing the plot we described earlier, President Obama said he would nominate former Rep. Jim Leach (R-IA) to be chairman of the National Endowment of the Humanities, the Des Moines Register reports.

Leach, a Republican, endorsed Obama last year and had a prime-time speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
