What? Noooo.... Sarah the Quitter Implicated in Probe

I just loves me them independent investigators:
An independent investigator has found evidence that Alsaka Gov. Sarah Palin (R) "may have violated ethics laws by accepting private donations to pay her legal debts," Associated Press.

The investigator says that "there is probable cause to believe Palin used or attempted to use her official position for personal gain because she authorized the creation of a trust as the 'official' legal defense fund."
I just loves me them probable causes.

Just a wild guess, but I'm betting that the independent investigator won't quit his/her job before he/she is finished, you know, investigating.

Senate Republicans Agree to Pay Coleman Legal Bills

By GottaLaff

Yesterday I posted a link to a site called "A dollar a day to keep Norm Coleman away". Now Toker Norm has his own big, fat, major source of cash to pay off his legal bills. And how nice that Rushpublics find it more important to deprive Minnesota of a U.S. Senator than to support democracy. America first!
NBC News reports that the NRSC has committed $750,000 to help Norm Coleman (R) pay his legal bills in his fight with Al Franken (D) over Minnesota's empty U.S. Senate seat. This all but confirms the strategy that Republicans would rather have an empty Senate seat than one filled by a Democrat.

"It's worth pointing out that this $750,000 isn't chump change."

Meanwhile, a new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that most Minnesotans believe Coleman should concede to Franken, 54% to 41%.
Pfft! To hell with Minnesotans and their ludicrous allegiance to the rule of law, fair elections, and accurate recounts. Who cares how they feel when blocking health care reform and other trivial issues is their extra special Rushpublic priority.

Sarah Palin formally unveils new legal defense fund

By GottaLaff

You know you're in trouble when you need a legal defense fund...

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, facing a string of costly ethics complaints, formally unveiled a defense fund Friday to help pay her legal fees — now surging past the half-million dollar mark.
I guess The Surge worked.

"For Alaskans, the time has come to end the siege on our government by political tricksters. Enough is enough. With the help of reform-minded advocates from across our nation, we will stand up for what is right," said a message on the Web site for the Alaska Fund Trust.

She needs a trunkload of money to fight "tricksters"! Who knew tricksters could be that expensive?

"Your maximum contribution of $150.00 will allow the Governor, her family, and her colleagues to retire their legal debt at no cost to Alaskans and reduce the incentive for mischief by her opponents. Together, we can help Governor Palin and future elected officials turn back the tide of overtly partisan and unnecessarily personal political attacks."

So they're not just tricksters. They're mischievous tricksters! They sound almost... impish:

(relevant segment at 3:30)

Kristan Cole, a Palin ally from Wasilla, will run the fund, which she described as "one of the most restrictive and transparent legal funds in history." The group said it plans to voluntarily release the names of donors and size of their contributions.

In history! Gracious! That is restrictive! How clever of them. How wickedly nimble.

One might say almost... impish.
