Obama-effect! Russian politician get elected using the president's image

A Moscow region politician has won a local election with the unwitting help of Barack Obama. Aleksandr Filippov used an image of the American President on a campaign leaflet, helping him win 55.6 per cent of the vote.

The victory comes despite the fact his tactics were a violation of election law.

Watch. Rushpublics will use this to push an "Obama illegal tactics helped Russian throw election" lie. See? Now they can blame the president for disenfranchising Russians!

In order to use a person’s image in the election campaign a candidate needs to have his written permission, according to Valentina Smirnova, head of the Moscow region election committee.

No problem. A forged document of Obama's approval of the image will find its way into the Drudge Report. "Obama's" signature will be all over it, and Boss Limbaugh will run with it to create an international incident, after which he'll jump up and down on camera again, and declare himself the de fatso president.
