Chuck Todd just now said something that I think was spot on. John McCain is used to being the celebrity, whether it's appearing (and hosting) on Saturday Night Live a trazillion times, or being the second most frequent guest (52 appearances) on "Meet The Press". The snide, covetous attitude that his campaign has taken points to a complete meltdown in McCain's self-image. I mean, think about it, other than Bill Clinton, what other politician could you point to as a semi-celebrity before Obama showed up? Only John McCain, and now he can't get 100 people to show up in the reddest Red States.
John McCain is now a whining, clutchy diva refusing to give up his past glories.
Tapper takes this further-

Then it got to the point where they used it so much I couldn't get in the place. So I bought another one.”
Whose family credit cards have been known to ring up more than $500,000 in charges in one month?
