Election 2008: The gameshow

By GottaLaff

Welcome to "Who's Ahead This Week?!", brought to you by PGSN!!!, the Political Game Show Network! Who's ahead this week? Is it Obama or McCain? Who is the Round One victor? Who will win the lightning round in November? And who will take home parting gifts? Barack Hussein and John Sidney, come on down!

Wolf: Poll, Obama 46%, McCain 43%.

MadCap Schneider: McCain is at 43% Bush is at 32% McCain should be where Bush is! He is not in that much trouble... at this point.

Joe Johns: He's perceived as a maverick by some. And he's been loud out there on some issues. He's a different breed that many can live with. There are questions about Obama in Appalachia, some are suspicious of him, don't know him, and McCain's holding his own.

Jessica Yellin: McCain held a town hall run by women supporters of Hillary who were in a mutiny against Obama.

MadCap: Obama's problem isn't women, they're voting for him. It's older voters, who have trended more Republican since 1992... the Depression generation, the Democrats, are fewer now.

Wolf: Obama has a lot of younger supporters. But McCain said the number of troops coming home isn't that important.

Joe: Voters believe it's time for a change on Iraq. They say McCain stands with Bush on that.

Wolf: There's a huge difference between them on troop withdrawals.

Jessica: There will be a lot of support for Obama among the most liberal elements. But he wants it to be about the economy because McCain's stronger in the security arena in general.

MadCap: They trust McCain on Iraq even though they don't agree with him, because of his experience.... When people want change, they will vote for someone they're not entirely sure of.

And that's it for Round One, folks! It looks like McCain wins this one by a hair.... at least according to PGSN!!! Remember, ladies and gentlemen, America doesn't make that decision, PGSN!!! does! Until next week...
