In Speech, Obama Will Not Insist on Public Option

By GottaLaff

A preview of the speech that President Obama will give tonight is down thread. However, nowhere did I see the words "public option". There goes that "robust" public option moment we were hoping for.

Confirmed:

He will also talk about the advantages of a public-insurance option in his address, but he will not insist on it, the White House said beforehand. The administration’s latest hint of flexibility in his effort to overhaul health care came just a few hours before his speech at 8 p.m. Eastern.
