Video- NBC's Brian Williams uses Limbaugh's words to describe UN meeting as "Star Wars" "bar scene"
WILLIAMS: I do listen to Rush. I listen to it from a radio in my office, or depending on my day, if I'm in the car, I will listen to Rush. And he will tell you I've been listening for years. I think it's my duty to listen to Rush. I think Rush has actually yet to get the credit he is due, because his audience for so many years felt they were in the wilderness of this country. No one was talking to them.

NBC News Goes "Inside Obama White House" For Prime Time Special

If it's inside the White House, I'll watch. BTW, did you guys know that there's an all West Wing video site? I haven't used it yet, but I've got it bookmarked. And did you know the first Latino Supreme on TWW was a Puerto Rican? I know.
Brian Williams anchors an NBC News special "Inside the Obama White House" which will air in one-hour installments next Tuesday and Wednesday night at 9pmET/PT.
More than a dozen crews and cameras will be placed throughout the White House this Friday. And Williams will interview Pres. Obama next Tuesday, the day before the president leaves for a trip to the Middle East and Europe.
This is the seventh installment over the last 40 years of this NBC News series. "This is one of the greatest traditions in all of broadcast television," said Williams in a press release. "We will show aspects of life in the White House — the Obama White House — that no one on the outside has ever seen before."
NBC's last "Inside the White House" special was in 2002 during the George W. Bush administration and was anchored by Tom Brokaw.

Obama continues his media blitz
By GottaLaff
Obama's latest interview is with Wolf Blitzer at 6 p.m. Eastern:
Sen. Barack Obama told CNN Friday that turning around the economy and energy independence are his top priorities for 2009 if elected president.Fearless. Giving interviews of substance just before an election telegraphs to the voters that he is confident, not only about his positions on the issues, but also about his chances of winning and becoming our next president. In an interview with Wolf Blitzer in Des Moines, Iowa, Obama was asked to name his top priority from a list of issues, including taxes, health care, education, energy policy and immigration.
"[The] top priority may not be any of those five. It may be continuing to stabilize the financial system. We don't know yet what's gonna happen in January," he said. "None of this can be accomplished if we continue to see a potential meltdown in the banking system and financial system. So that's priority number one — making sure the plumbing works."

Newspaper endorsements matter
By GottaLaff
Too bad so many papers are going under:
A new study of newspaper endorsements finds the they "are influential in the sense that voters are more likely to support the recommended candidate after publication of the endorsement. The degree of this influence, however, depends upon the credibility of the endorsement. In this way, endorsements for the Democratic candidate from left-leaning newspapers are less influential than are endorsements from neutral or right-leaning newspapers, and likewise for endorsements for the Republican."Brian Williams just showed a clip of his Obama interview. Obama was terrific, discussing the Supreme Court and privacy issues. Of course, Williams had to follow up with Noron McDonnell by saying candidates are "one step away from disaster" when they do interviews this late in the game.
The latest Editor & Publisher tally shows Obama maintains his strong lead in daily newspaper endorsements, 234 to 105. The circulation of the Obama-backing papers stands at over 21 million, compared with McCain's 7 million.
Furthermore, at least 47 newspapers have now switched to Obama from Bush in 2004, with just four flipping to McCain.
Obama also appears on Rachel Maddow's show tonight. I'm sure it will be a complete disaster.

VIDEO: So, IWRC* Palin, abortion clinic bombers aren't terrorists?
By GottaLaff
Via Oxdown Gazette:
She could have just said yes. Instead Sarah Palin decided to talk about Bill Ayers. Brian William's even gave her a second chance to answer the question. It's a-okay to bomb your neighbors if you disagree with them.... as long as you're not a Democrat.
Notice in both answers, her wording is VERY specific. She talks about "innocent Americans." But from everything I've read about Palin's religious beliefs and her views on abortion, I doubt she thinks doctors who preform abortions are "innocent." Furthermore I doubt she views abortion clinics as "innocent."
It was a simple question and deserved a simple answer.

VIDEO: Brian Williams and the Disarray Duo: Gramm-pa McCain and IWRC* Palin
By GottaLaff
Here is the interview of the Disarray Duo, which includes IWRC* agreeing to releasing her medical records (at about 1:20), which Williams said was a surprise to the campaign:
Gramm-pa: "Down in money, down in the polls. We got 'em just where we want 'em." [laughter] And then he goes on to say, "That's where we do best."
At 4:37, Gramm-pa refers to "Senator O'Biden".

Here is the video of the eye-popping Chuck Todd interview that Paddy posted below. You know the one: He said, "I couldn’t see chemistry between John McCain and Sarah Palin."
Yeah, that one.

Chuck Todd- McCain Camp In Disarray
I heard this in the other room, and apparently I wasn't the only person floored by it.
Partial transcript via-
Oh my, Chuck Todd's gonna get yelled at by the McCain campaign.Chuck Todd: Well, Chris, I wouldn’t blame Brian for wanting to say this. There was a tenseness between, first of all, between the two. There’s no chemistry. I couldn’t see chemistry between John McCain and Sarah Palin. It was.....I felt as if we grabbed two people and said ‘here sit next to each other, we’re going to conduct an interview.’ There wasn’t, they’re not, uuugh, not comfortable with each other yet.
The other thing about it is that you can tell they know that they’re losing. There’s an intensity there, they’re drained, the entire campaign staff is drained. The two candidates seem guarded, they seem on edge. It’s not as if they were rude or anything. It’s not as if they weren’t trying to be forthcoming. It’s just, they just seemed, it’s a negative intensity. I don’t know how else to describe it. But you’ll see that when you see the two of them together, the chemistry is not all there.....you do wonder "is John McCain starting to blame her for things, blaming himself, is she blaming him?" You just wonder what’s going on inside their heads are they upset with how the other has treated them and is that why her the numbers low? It’s just a negative vibe that you get in that room.
