CBS/NYT Poll: Obama Maintains Double Digit Lead

A "reliable source" tells Ben Smith that the CBS/New York Times poll due out later today will have Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain by 11 points among likely voters, "ticking down two points since their poll a week ago, but still a very, very wide margin in the waning days of the contest."

A new set of Allstate/National Journal polls show Sen. Barack Obama leading in historically-Republican strongholds.

Colorado: Obama 48%, McCain 44%

Florida: Obama 45%, McCain 44%

North Carolina: Obama 47%, McCain 43%

Ohio: Obama 48%, McCain 41%

Virginia: Obama 48%, McCain 44%
