A new TV show offers a glimpse into the gilded world of lobbyists:

Yes, some Washington lobbyists have been known for their excesses over the years, but did you know that one even wraps her gifts in money? Lobbyist Edwina Rogers, who is married to Ed Rogers, chairman of lobbying firm BGR Holding, reveals her penchant for using sheets of dollar bills purchased from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing as wrapping paper on a television pilot produced for NBC's Washington station. National Journal obtained a copy of the show Power House, which is expected to air this fall. [Hotline]

Lobbyist Edwina Rogers is a Republican strategist and a regular guest on FOX News. Her husband, Louis Vuitton lobbyist Ed Rogers, is the "Rogers" in Barbour Griffith and Rogers. Both husband and wife are high-profile McCain surrogates.

But their 18,000-square-foot Virginia house is nothing compared to Obama's Hawaii, U.S.A. trip to visit his family. What a snob Obama is!

By the way, since we're in the middle of a mental recession, it's okay to use disposable money to wrap gifts for your wealthy friends in high places.
