Is it just me, or has Mrs Obama done more in the first two months of her husband's presidency than Laura did in eight year?
In honor of Women’s History Month, first lady Michelle Obama is bringing in famous female stars like Alicia Keys on Thursday to visit local schools and speak to students.
The first lady is scheduled to visit 11 schools, according to a White House press release. Then it’s back to the White House for dinner and evening entertainment.
Stars include singers Keys and Sheryl Crow. Dancer-choreographer-actress Debbie Allen (best known for playing Lydia on TV’s “Fame”) is also coming, along with makeup artist Bobbi Brown, Allen’s sister Phylicia Rashad and actresses Fran Drescher, Kerry Washington and Alfre Woodard.
Other well-known women in the group include Mae Jamison, the first black female astronaut, and Dominique Dawes, a retired gymnast.
