Who has socialized health care again? Sarah Tripps up

Shannyn Moore has the yummy details about how Preachy McDeathPanel's grandson is covered by socialized health care.

Hyp. O. Crite.

Here is the proof, in part:

Shannyn has Moore.

See what I did there? Wink.

Oh, and did you hear? She lost the big CPAC straw poll.

6 out of 7 GOP candidates for governor in Illinois will opt out of public option

By GottaLaff

http://rlv.zcache.com/optout_button-p145196494186530513t5sj_400.jpg

I'm sure all those voters whose health and/or savings will be at stake based on your "opting out" politics will thank you. Way to play with the health and lives of fellow Americans:

All seven candidates, to varying degrees, competed to be the most conservative, the biggest "outsider," the most opposed to tax hikes, and the most opposed to increased government spending on health care.

"If I wanted to be part of socialized medicine, I'd move to Europe," said state Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale). [...]

Six of the seven candidates said that as governor, they would "opt out" of any new federal government-funded health care plan. Ryan said he'd want to see it first.

But wait! There's more!

Asked what the state could do to prevent disasters such as Thursday's mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, most of the candidates talked about better communication with the National Guard and the state's other law enforcement entities. Brady said a law allowing Illinois residents to carry concealed guns "would help to respond to incidents like this as well as the tragic incident that occurred on Northern Illinois University's campus."

Yes! Yes! By all means, more guns are needed to shoot more people who also have guns! What a healthy trend. And speaking of health...

Not only will people lose their lives due to lack of affordable health care, they'll also increase the likelihood of dying at the hands of a fellow gunslinger.

America just keeps on getting more civilized, doesn't it? Do unto others...

VIDEO- Orrin Hatch slips: Americans might like health care reform, vote for (gasp!) Democrats

By GottaLaff

Oh noes! Americans might like the very health care reforms (public option or not) that could, you know, benefit them and keep them alive! Enough to want to vote for the party that supports it! And we can't have that now, can we?

Let that little detail slip out there, didja, Orrin?

Big Government-Run Socialized Medicine will kill ya, I tells ya, kill ya! Especially that radical program called Medicare! Oh, wait...

"You could call that 'socialism.' Or you could call it 'family values.'"

Personal stories like this need to be spread around, especially at town hall meetings and on the Tee Vee Machine... but that's not going to happen, so it's up to us bloggers:

I was born and raised in America, but I've lived in Europe for the last twenty years. I''m thinking it might be time to come home, but whether I can or not depends on the answer to this question:

Does America take care of its children?

Our son has juvenile diabetes. He's had it for seven years, since he was two years old. During that time we've lived in three countries -- Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Italy -- and he has had excellent treatment in each country. [...]

I've calculated the cost of all that over seven years, and here's what it comes to: zero. [...]

[E]verybody is paying. I guess you could call that "socialism." Or you could call it "family values." But what difference does it make what you call it? [...]

I've seen the European system up close and I'm here to tell you, it works.

Please go read the rest here. It's terrific.

VIDEO- Rep. Ross (D-Ark): Bush, not Obama, pioneered socialized medicine in U.S.

By GottaLaff

Them rabble-rousin' CorporateGrassrooties better hightail it over to Texas and storm Boy Georgie's new digs:

It was President George W. Bush who presided over the largest socialized expansion of government-supported healthcare, Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark.) asserted Tuesday.

Ross, a leading member of the centrist Blue Dog Democrat coalition on health issues, said that it was Bush, not President Obama, who pioneered the expansion of government's role in healthcare.
Ross is on my Bad Dog list.

And when will the media stop referring to ConservaDems as "centrist"?

Right Wing Media Exploits Natasha Richardson Death

By GottaLaff

Via Oliver Willis, we get another dose of how the evil librul media is taking over and spreading lies. Oh wait. That's not the librul media a'tall. Quite the opposite:
Canadacare May Have Killed Natasha” says the New York Post, trumpeting an article written by Cory Franklin, first published by the Chicago Tribune (and given splashy play by the Daily Beast). Just as we are gearing up to begin debate in this country over a much-needed public healthcare plan comes a story perfectly calculated to arouse the fears of Americans that “socialized medicine” would endanger their health. Leaving aside for a minute the baselessness of those fears–and the bad taste involved in this nakedly political exploitation of an admired (and progressive) actress’s tragic death–there’s one little problem with Franklin’s theory. It’s wrong.
When the truth just won't do, try LieALot. Yes, folks, LieALot is free, simple to use, and always there when you need it! Try some today! Tell your friends!

Side effects may include bad taste, humiliation, death threats, abrupt end to democracy, severe emotional distress, and great depression.
