Eric Cantor reveals his not-tech-savviness

By GottaLaff

Oh, those contempo-Republicans! They're so hep!

[House Minority Whip Rep. Eric] Cantor was addressing more than 100 of the Republican National Committee's top donors [...]

"He’s talking about the importance of technology and understand that we need to connect with new voters and how President Obama’s campaign really demonstrated how to use technology effectively," said a major donor who was in the room, one of two attendees who recalled the moment.

"Cantor says, 'We understand these things: we need to be on social networking sites – like Facebook, and YouTube, and LinkedUp,'" the donor said.

Oops. It's called LinkedIn. Cantor needs to link up with his memory.

"We’re talking about getting tech right and the minority whip doesn’t even know the name of the goddamn website?" groused the donor. "At least John McCain was honest."

"The Congressman simply mis-spoke," said a Cantor spokesman, Brad Dayspring.

Of course he did. He knew exactly what he was talking about. They always do.

VIDEO: Republican Whip Eric Cantor opposes Obama housing bill before its release

By GottaLaff

Minority Whip Eric Cantor has come out against Obama's housing bill before it's even been released. That little eager beaver of the Party of No must be clairvoyant:

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said that the Obama administration's yet-to-be-announced $50 billion plan to stem home foreclosures may only add to the country's fiscal and housing problems.

Cantor, on CBS on Monday, worried that another government program could hurt taxpayers. Obama is expected this week to unveil a plan to help prevent foreclosures, perhaps by giving federal subsidies allowing reductions in mortgage payments. Though Cantor said he supported some sort of government effort to to get lenders to lessen payments, he expressed concern about the program's price tag.
Hold on there just a minute, Whippy McWhippington. In the video, you claim that nobody had time to read the stimulus bill before the vote. Yet you feel free to publicly oppose President Obama's housing bill prior to studying it. Check that. Prior to its debut.

It seems Little Whippy is suffering from premature flagellation.

How's about opening that small mind of yours just for a second or two, hmm?
Cantor has led Republican efforts to oppose the $787 billion stimulus package, which was deemed by Democrats and Obama as necessary to create jobs and jumpstart the economy.
Maybe I'm the one who's being premature. It could just be that the Godawful Opposition Party's minority whipper-snapper doesn't know how to read.
