Overheard at Costco: "The media is so in love with this guy [Obama]"

Mr. Laffy went to Costco yesterday. He was standing near two nice-looking, 60-something, well-to-do women who were looking at a magazine cover that featured Barack Obama and his family. Here's what he overheard them saying:

"The media's so in love with this guy. They'd never put McCain and his family on the cover. Let's hope the middle of this country comes through."

I never realized how shortchanged J Sid was, poor thing. He never gets any positive press, never travels to Europe and other areas for photo ops, and is running a fine, upstanding campaign that deserves more coverage.

The eavesdropping by Mr. Laffy took place in Thousand Oaks, California, a relatively conservative area. Unlike the two women in question, let's hope the rest of California (and the country) comes through... for Obama.
